Description
The Smart BMS CL 12/200 is an all in one battery management system for Victron 12.8V Lithium Battery Smart batteries, combining a current limiter, a battery combiner and a battery protector in a single compact unit. It monitors and protects each individual cell, disconnecting charge sources and loads in the event of a low or high cell voltage or an out of range temperature.
A dedicated alternator connection with a built in charge current limiter lets you safely connect any size 12V alternator and starter battery to the lithium battery, protecting the alternator against overload. Its System+ port can charge or discharge the lithium battery, via an additional charger, an inverter or an inverter/charger connected directly to that port, at a continuous current of up to 200A in both directions, making it suited to larger 12V lithium installations than the 100A model.
Everything is configured, monitored and controlled wirelessly over Bluetooth with the VictronConnect app. Robust and easy to wire, it is an excellent core for marine and off grid systems built around Victron 12.8V Smart lithium batteries and an engine alternator.
