Description
The VE.Bus BMS NG is the next generation battery management system for Victron Lithium NG batteries, the LiFePO4 range available in 12.8V, 25.6V and 51.2V. It manages a single battery or a bank connected in series, parallel or a combination of both to build 12V, 24V or 48V systems, in installations using a Victron VE.Bus inverter or inverter/charger such as a MultiPlus or Quattro.
Unlike earlier VE.Bus BMS models, the NG derives all key parameters, including voltage, current, state of charge and individual cell data, directly from the connected Lithium NG batteries, so a separate SmartShunt is not required for battery monitoring. It has built in Bluetooth for central monitoring through the VictronConnect app, and MultiPlus and Quattro devices connect to it with a standard RJ45 UTP cable. It protects the batteries by managing charging and inverting according to cell voltage and temperature.
Designed specifically for the Lithium NG battery family, the VE.Bus BMS NG is the right BMS for new marine and off grid Victron systems being built on the NG range with VE.Bus inverters and inverter/chargers.
