Built-in Wi-Fi and a 10Hz GPS complete the package.

B&G Vulcan 12 is a 12-inch touch screen chartplotter built specifically for sailors. Packed with sailing specific functions such as B&G’s Award Winning SailSteer™ and Sailing Time, sailors can see all key sailing data at a glance. SailSteer allows sailors to view crucial sailing data on one handy screen or alternatively overlaid on your position on the chartplotter screen. GoFree™ Compatible with built in Wi-Fi functionality. Advanced NMEA2000® networking. Broadband Radar™ and ForwardScan™ ready. Comes with C-Map MAX-N South Europe chart card.

Which charts are supplied with this Vulcan 12R?
This version is supplied with C-MAP South Europe cartography, ready to navigate Southern European and Mediterranean waters out of the box. You can also add Navionics, Insight and other C-MAP regions via the two microSD card slots.
What is the difference between the Vulcan R and FS models?
The R models such as this Vulcan 12R are radar-ready chartplotters with a dedicated Ethernet radar port for a B&G radar dome. The FS models focus on a built-in fishfinder and ForwardScan instead. The 12R also has an integrated CHIRP, DownScan and ForwardScan echosounder.
Does the Vulcan 12R support sonar and a transducer?
Yes. The 12R has a built-in CHIRP, DownScan and ForwardScan echosounder using a single 9-pin XSonic connector. Add a transducer to suit your hull. A transducer is not included.
What radar can I connect to the Vulcan 12R?
It connects to B&G Broadband 3G and 4G domes and HALO pulse compression radar over its dedicated Ethernet radar port, with radar overlay on the chart. The radar dome is sold separately on this version.
Does the Vulcan 12R have Wi-Fi and NMEA 2000?
Yes. Built-in Wi-Fi supports GoFree, wireless updates and phone or tablet control, while a single NMEA 2000 port integrates B&G instruments, sensors, AIS and a compatible autopilot.
