B&G Vulcan 7 is a 7-inch touch screen chartplotter built specifically for sailors. Packed with sailing specific functions such as B&G’s Award Winning SailSteer™ and Sailing Time, sailors can see all key sailing data at a glance. SailSteer allows sailors to view crucial sailing data on one handy screen or alternatively overlaid on your position on the chartplotter screen. GoFree™ Compatible with built in Wi-Fi functionality. Advanced NMEA2000® networking. Broadband Radar™ and ForwardScan™ ready. Comes with B&G 3G BB Radar Kit

Does this Vulcan 7R come with a radar dome?
Yes. This version is supplied with a B&G Broadband 3G Radar dome, so you get collision avoidance and weather tracking out of the box. Broadband radar is low power and safe to use near people, with crisp short-range detail.
What is the difference between the Vulcan R and FS models?
The R models such as this Vulcan 7R are radar chartplotters that drive a B&G radar dome over a dedicated Ethernet port. The FS models focus on a built-in fishfinder and ForwardScan instead. The 7R also has a built-in CHIRP and DownScan echosounder.
Does the Vulcan 7R support sonar and a transducer?
Yes. The 7R has a built-in CHIRP and DownScan echosounder using a single 9-pin XSonic connector. Add a transducer to suit your hull. A transducer is not included with this radar bundle.
Which charts does the Vulcan 7R support?
It supports C-MAP MAX-N and MAX-N+, Navionics Gold, Platinum+ and Navionics+, Insight and Insight Genesis, plus selected third-party charts. Charts load via the microSD card slot.
Does the Vulcan 7R have Wi-Fi and NMEA 2000?
Yes. Built-in Wi-Fi supports GoFree, wireless updates and phone or tablet control, while a single NMEA 2000 port integrates B&G instruments, sensors, AIS and a compatible autopilot.
