Description
This adapter bridges a standard computer-style RJ45 Ethernet plug to the yellow 5-pin waterproof connector used on B&G and Simrad networks. It is wired as a crossover, which is what is required when connecting directly to a PC or to a device expecting a crossed link rather than going through a switch.
Typical uses are software updates, chart transfers, diagnostics and service work where a laptop needs to talk to a networked display or black-box module.
