Description

The EmpirBus Connect 50 packs the inputs, outputs and intelligence of a digital switching system into a single compact DC module, making it ideal for smaller installations or as a building block in larger ones. It connects directly to DC power on M6 bolts and to the network through a standard NMEA 2000 connector, controlling and monitoring up to 11 input channels and 20 output channels.

Inputs can be configured as digital or analogue, reading switches, sensors and frequency signals, while outputs drive loads directly with positive, half-bridge and window-wiper modes and per-channel software fusing. This 12 V model adds on-unit LED indication and touch control, so channels can be read and overridden directly at the module, including manual override and fuse reset in the event of a bus failure. Up to six Connect 50 units can share a single network, scaling the system to suit the vessel.

General

SystemEmpirBus digital switching (max 6 Connect-50 per network)
How many inputs and outputs does the Connect 50 have?
The Connect 50 provides up to 11 input channels and 20 output channels in a single module. Any input can be configured as digital or analogue, and outputs support positive, half-bridge and window-wiper modes.
How much current can the Connect 50 switch?
The module delivers a total maximum output of 50 A, with per-channel software fuses configurable to 1, 5, 8 or 10 A. A tripped channel can be reset directly on the unit.
Can I control channels directly on the unit?
Yes. This model has on-unit LED indication and touch control, so you can read channel status, manually override channels on or off, and reset software fuses directly at the module, which is useful in the event of a bus failure.
How many Connect 50 units can I use together?
Up to six Connect 50 modules can be connected in the same network. In master mode a Connect 50 can handle up to six bus IDs.
