Description
An antenna connector adapter with an SMA plug on one end and an SO-239 (UHF) socket on the other.
It lets a handheld radio fitted with an SMA antenna connector accept an antenna or coaxial lead terminated in a PL-259 plug, opening up the much wider range of SO-239-fitted antennas and feeders.
Because the adapter takes the mating wear, it also helps protect the radio's own SMA chassis connector where antennas are changed frequently.
