Description

The ATOM A295 is a low-cost dual-payload night-vision PTZ camera from the Iris ATOM range, pairing a 384 x 288 thermal imaging core with a 2MP high-definition visible-spectrum camera that offers excellent low-light performance and 20x optical zoom. Standing only around 206mm tall, it blends into the vessel and is an ideal night-vision solution for RIBs, centre consoles and sports-fishing boats.

Both sensors are housed in a robust, compact waterproof case and each has its own IP address, so the thermal and visible cameras can be configured, controlled and switched independently and viewed simultaneously. The cameras integrate with many leading marine chart plotters through the Iris CMAC range of camera management interfaces, and an RS485 serial connection adds Pelco-D control from joystick devices and NVRs.

This version is finished in white and is available with side-entry or base-entry cabling. The A295 is both ONVIF and NDAA compliant, making it suitable for government, military and other security-sensitive applications as well as everyday marine situational awareness.

What is a dual-payload camera?
A dual-payload camera carries two sensors in one housing. The A295 combines a 384 x 288 thermal imaging core with a 2MP low-light HD visible-spectrum camera. Each sensor has its own IP address, so you can configure, control and view the thermal and visible images independently and at the same time.
Is the A295 compatible with marine chart plotters?
Yes. The cameras are compatible with many leading marine chart plotters through the Iris CMAC range of camera management interfaces. They are also ONVIF Profile S compliant for network displays and recorders.
How is it controlled?
The A295 is an IP camera, but it also provides an RS485 serial connection using the Pelco-D protocol, so it can be controlled from an NVR, a computer, an Iris CMAC system or a suitable joystick controller.
Is the camera NDAA compliant?
Yes. The A295 is both ONVIF and NDAA compliant, so it can be used for government, military and other security-sensitive applications. Always check regional export laws, as the thermal core carries a CGEA rating.
