Description
The Simrad HS75 is a commercial-grade GNSS satellite compass that delivers a fast, non-magnetic heading along with high-accuracy position, rate of turn, pitch and roll. By measuring the relative position of two internal antennas spaced 20 cm apart, it achieves heading performance better than 0.75 degrees RMS, completely free from the magnetic interference that affects fluxgate compasses.
Multi-constellation reception across GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS provides robust global coverage, with positioning accuracy of about 0.6 m when using SBAS differential corrections. Heading and position update at up to 10 Hz for confident radar overlay, chart stabilisation and autopilot steering. Output is over NMEA 2000, the compact 35 cm housing mounts to a flat surface or pole, and a wide range of standard PGNs makes integration straightforward.
