Description
This NMEA 0183 to NMEA 2000 converter brings heading data from an older NMEA 0183 source onto a modern NMEA 2000 network. It lets a legacy heading sensor or instrument share its output with NMEA 2000 displays, autopilots and radar so the wider system can use the heading for chart stabilisation and overlay.
The converter is intended for installations that mix older 0183 equipment with newer Simrad, Lowrance or B&G networks, providing a simple bridge rather than replacing the original sensor. Fit it inline between the heading source and the NMEA 2000 backbone.
