Description
The Raymarine SeaTalk NG to VHF NMEA 0183 Converter Kit feeds GPS position information from a SeaTalk NG network to an older VHF radio with Digital Selective Calling (DSC). Many first generation DSC radios need vessel position fix data in NMEA 0183 format to support their distress, safety and calling features.
This kit reads NMEA 2000 GPS / GNSS information from the SeaTalk NG network and outputs NMEA 0183 sentences to support older DSC VHF radios. NMEA 0183 connections to the converter are made using the supplied SeaTalk NG to NMEA 0183 bare wires spur cable, a terminal block and the NMEA 0183 cable supplied with the VHF radio.
The kit is supplied with the converter, a 2 m power cable, a 1 m SeaTalk NG spur cable, a 1 m NMEA 0183 VHF stripped-end adapter cable, two backbone terminators and two blanking plugs. The converter is rated IPx6 for installation below decks.
