Description

The Raymarine RS130 and SeaTalk 1 to SeaTalk NG Converter Retro Pack combines two items used when modernising an older installation: the RS130 GNSS GPS sensor and a SeaTalk 1 to SeaTalk NG converter.

The RS130 provides a high sensitivity, multi-constellation GNSS position source with SeaTalk NG / NMEA 2000 connectivity. The SeaTalk 1 to SeaTalk NG converter lets selected legacy SeaTalk 1 devices, such as instruments and autopilots, continue to communicate on the new SeaTalk NG network. Together they make it straightforward to add a modern GPS feed and a SeaTalk NG backbone while retaining compatible older equipment.

SeaTalk NG is Raymarine's implementation of the NMEA 2000 standard, and the converter is rated IPx6 for installation below decks.

What is included in the T70133 retro pack?
The pack pairs the RS130 GNSS GPS sensor with a SeaTalk 1 to SeaTalk NG converter, so you can add a modern GPS source and bring selected legacy SeaTalk 1 devices onto a SeaTalk NG network.
Why would I choose this pack rather than the items separately?
It is aimed at retrofit and upgrade installations where you want both a new SeaTalk NG GPS source and the ability to keep existing SeaTalk 1 instruments or autopilots connected, supplied together.
Is the GPS compatible with NMEA 2000 networks?
Yes. The RS130 uses SeaTalk NG / NMEA 2000 connectivity, so it works on a SeaTalk NG backbone and with compatible NMEA 2000 systems.
