Description

The Simrad GO5 XSE packs full chartplotter, GPS and fishfinding capability into a compact 5-inch multi-touch display, making it an ideal all-in-one navigator for runabouts, sportboats and dayboats with limited dash space. Its super-bright widescreen is easy to read in direct sunlight, while built-in Wi-Fi keeps charts up to date and lets you view the screen on a phone or tablet.

This package ships with the Active Imaging 3-in-1 transom-mount transducer, combining high-resolution SideScan and DownScan Imaging with traditional CHIRP sonar so you can read structure, cover and fish in clear detail. NMEA 2000 connectivity ties the GO5 into engine data, autopilots and FUSION audio for a connected helm.

What size is the Simrad GO5 screen?
The GO5 XSE has a 5-inch widescreen colour display with WVGA 800 x 480 resolution. It is a multi-touch screen with a bright 1200-nit backlight for clear viewing in direct sunlight.
Does the GO5 have built-in GPS and Wi-Fi?
Yes. The GO5 XSE has an internal GPS receiver for position and a built-in Wi-Fi connection, which lets you download chart updates and view the display on a phone or tablet.
What sonar does the GO5 support and which transducer is included?
The GO5 XSE has a built-in CHIRP sounder with DownScan Imaging and connects a single 9-pin XSonic transducer. This package includes the Active Imaging 3-in-1 transom-mount transducer (SideScan, DownScan and CHIRP).
Can I connect radar to the GO5?
No. Unlike the larger GO7, GO9 and GO12, the GO5 XSE does not have a radar (Ethernet) connection and does not support radar. If you need radar, choose a GO7 or larger model.
How does the GO5 connect to other equipment, and what is its power and waterproof rating?
The GO5 XSE has a single NMEA 2000 Micro-C port for engine data, sensors, autopilot and FUSION audio. It runs on a 10 to 17 V DC supply and carries an IPX7 waterproof rating.
