Description

The ATOM A118 is a multi-format analogue high-definition PTZ camera with a powerful 30x optical zoom and high-power LED illumination, part of the compact Iris ATOM range. Its camera module sits in a robust, waterproof gimbal-mount enclosure built to shrug off the harshest marine conditions, yet it stands only around 206mm tall.

The module can output three analogue HD formats (HD-TVI, HD-CVI and AHD) or standard-definition composite (CVBS) video, so it suits both the latest recording systems and legacy installations. Leading image processing such as noise reduction, image enhancement and wide dynamic range keeps footage clear, while an array of high-power infrared illuminators extends visibility in darkness to around 100m and image-gain boosting maximises low-light clarity.

Control is over an RS485 serial connection using the industry-standard Pelco-D protocol for fast, accurate positioning, with up to 100 user presets plus scans and automated tours. This version is finished in white with a side-entry cable connector, and its compact footprint makes it ideal for RIBs, centre consoles and sports-fishing boats.

What video formats does the ATOM A118 output?
The A118 is a 4-in-1 analogue camera. It can be configured to output three analogue high-definition formats (HD-TVI, HD-CVI and AHD) or standard-definition composite (CVBS) video, so it works with the latest recording systems as well as legacy installations.
How far does the infrared illumination reach?
The A118 has an array of four high-power infrared LEDs in low and high beam groups, giving visibility in darkness up to around 100m (328ft). It also features true day/night operation with an IR cut switch.
How is the camera controlled?
Pan, tilt and zoom are controlled over an RS485 serial connection using the industry-standard Pelco-D protocol. It supports up to 100 user presets along with scans and user-configurable automated tours, and works with Iris joystick controllers and NVRs.
What is the difference between the base-entry and side-entry options?
The ATOM A118 is available with either a base-entry or a side-entry waterproof cable connector. Both use the same push-lock IP66 connector; the choice simply determines whether the cable exits from the bottom or the side of the camera to suit your mounting location.
