Description
The HX1 brings a fresh, modern approach to horizontal anchoring. Its durable polymer and anodised aluminium casing houses the latest inline motor and epicyclic gearbox, giving strong, quiet and reliable performance while keeping weight down; the composite and aluminium build is around 15% lighter than an equivalent all-stainless windlass.
This gypsy and drum (Gd) version adds a warping drum for handling mooring and dock lines alongside the 8mm chain gypsy, with a hybrid composite gypsy for smoother, quieter chain movement. The 800W 12V motor delivers up to 1065kg of pull for boats from 9 to 13m, and the sealed covers are rated to IP67 for minimal maintenance.
Supplied as an extended kit, the HX1 Gd is a versatile, contemporary choice for owners who want both anchoring and rope-handling capability in one lightweight unit.
