Lowrance 4G Broadband Radar Kit
Description
Superseded by the HALO20 and HALO20+ pulse-compression radars (December 2019). See the current HALO radar range.
The Lowrance Broadband 4G Radar was a compact radome designed for HDS displays, using Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) technology to deliver strong short-range target separation and clear, low-clutter imaging with around 50 percent more range than the earlier 3G unit. With effectively zero radiation hazard it was well suited to fishing, cruising and sail boats where the dome sits close to the cockpit.
The kit shipped as a complete radar package with a 10 m scanner cable, an RI10 interface box with NMEA 2000 connectivity and an Ethernet adapter cable. It has now been replaced by the solid-state HALO20 and HALO20+ domes.
