Description

The ATOM A418 is a high-definition visible-spectrum IP PTZ camera with a powerful 30x optical zoom, part of the compact Iris ATOM range. The network camera module sits in a robust, waterproof gimbal-mount enclosure built to withstand the harshest marine conditions, yet stands only around 206mm tall, making it ideal for RIBs, centre consoles and sports-fishing boats.

Leading image processing such as noise reduction, image enhancement and wide dynamic range keeps footage sharp, while an array of high-power infrared illuminators extends visibility in darkness to around 100m and image-gain boosting maximises low-light clarity. Pan, tilt and zoom are fast and responsive, with up to 255 user presets and a range of scans and automated tours.

As well as IP network control, an RS485 serial connection is provided so the camera can be operated from an NVR, a computer, Iris CMAC camera management systems or any Pelco-D joystick controller. The A418 is both ONVIF and NDAA compliant. This version is finished in white with a base-entry cable connector and runs on 12VDC or Power over Ethernet.

Is the ATOM A418 ONVIF and NDAA compliant?
Yes. The A418 is both ONVIF compliant, so it integrates with ONVIF network displays and recorders, and NDAA compliant, which allows it to be used in government, military and other security-sensitive applications.
How can the camera be controlled?
As well as IP network control, the A418 provides an RS485 serial connection using the Pelco-D protocol. This means it can be controlled from an NVR or computer, from Iris CMAC camera management systems, or from a standard CCTV joystick controller. It supports up to 255 presets with patrols, scans and tours.
How is it powered?
The A418 runs on either 12VDC or Power over Ethernet, so a single network cable can carry both power and data when PoE is used.
What is the difference between the base-entry and side-entry options?
The A418 is available with either a base-entry or side-entry waterproof cable connector. Both use the same push-lock IP66 connector; the choice determines whether the cable exits from the bottom or the side of the camera to suit your mounting location.
