Description
The Victron Energy 12V 165Ah AGM Deep Cycle is a sealed, maintenance-free VRLA battery built on flat plate Absorbent Glass Mat construction. The electrolyte is held in a glass-fibre mat between the plates, so the battery is spill-proof and can be mounted in any orientation. Its low internal resistance gives strong high-current performance, suiting marine loads such as inverters, bow thrusters and electric winches.
The 165Ah rating is quoted at the 20 hour rate, with 150Ah available at the faster 10 hour rate. Lead-calcium grids and high-purity active materials keep self-discharge below 2% per month, allowing extended storage between charges. As with any lead-acid battery, life is longest when discharges are kept shallow and the battery is recharged promptly with a suitable charger.
This version is fitted with M8 drilled, flat copper insert terminals for a direct, high-contact connection, making it well suited to permanently installed house and service banks on larger vessels.
