M400XR Thermal/Vis Camera (30Hz)

432-0012-14-00
Extended-range multi-sensor marine thermal camera for first responders, adding video tracking and a firefighting mode to the 640 x 480 M400 platform. 30 Hz refresh.

Description

The FLIR M400XR is the extended-range, first-responder version of the M400 multi-sensor thermal camera. It pairs a 640 x 480 thermal sensor and 4x optical thermal zoom with an HD ultra low-light visible camera and a tight-beam LED spotlight, delivering clear imagery in total darkness, glare and haze for search and rescue, patrol and marine firefighting missions. Integrated video tracking can lock onto and follow a target within the field of view, while active gyro stabilisation holds a steady picture in rough seas.

The M400XR adds a dedicated firefighting mode with an isothermic colour palette and spot temperature display to help pinpoint hot spots through smoke and steam, and is optimised for high-temperature scenes. It offers 360 degree continuous pan with plus or minus 90 degree tilt, integrates with chartplotters from Furuno, Garmin, Raymarine and Simrad, and provides analog, HD-SDI and four independent IP video streams. This variant outputs a 30 Hz video refresh rate.

What does the M400XR add over the standard M400?
The M400XR adds integrated video tracking, which locks onto and follows a target in the field of view, and a dedicated firefighting mode with an isothermic colour palette and spot temperature display to help pinpoint hot spots through smoke and steam.
Is the M400XR suitable for marine firefighting?
Yes. The M400XR is designed for first responders and includes a firefighting mode optimised for high-temperature scenes, making it well suited to marine fire service and search and rescue work.
How far can the M400XR detect a target?
On the published detection ranges the M400XR can detect a 30 foot vessel at up to 12.78 nautical miles and a human-sized target at up to 1.57 nautical miles. Actual range varies with camera setup, conditions and operator experience.
