It runs the award-winning B&G sailing suite of SailSteer, SailingTime, RacePanel and laylines, is Broadband Radar and ForwardScan ready and drives a B&G autopilot. Built-in Wi-Fi and a 10Hz GPS are included.

B&G Vulcan 9 is a 9-inch touch screen chartplotter built specifically for sailors. Packed with sailing specific functions such as B&G’s Award Winning SailSteer™ and Sailing Time, sailors can see all key sailing data at a glance. SailSteer allows sailors to view crucial sailing data on one handy screen or alternatively overlaid on your position on the chartplotter screen. GoFree™ Compatible with built in Wi-Fi functionality. Advanced NMEA2000® networking. Broadband Radar™ and ForwardScan™ ready. Comes with C-Map MAX-N North Europe chart card.

Which charts are supplied with this Vulcan 9FS?
This version is supplied with C-MAP North Europe cartography, ready to navigate Northern European waters out of the box. You can add Navionics, Insight and other C-MAP regions via the microSD card slots.
Does the Vulcan 9FS need a transducer for the sonar?
Yes. The 9FS has a built-in CHIRP and DownScan echosounder but no transducer is supplied. Add a CHIRP, DownScan or ForwardScan transducer via the single 9-pin XSonic connector to suit your hull.
What is the difference between the Vulcan FS and R models?
FS models such as this 9FS have a built-in fishfinder and ForwardScan as standard, while the R models are sold as radar bundles. The 9FS remains radar-ready, so you can add a B&G dome separately.
Can I add radar to the Vulcan 9FS?
Yes. The 9FS connects to B&G Broadband 3G and 4G domes and HALO radar over its dedicated Ethernet radar port. The radar dome is purchased separately on this version.
Does the Vulcan 9FS have Wi-Fi and NMEA 2000?
Yes. Built-in Wi-Fi supports GoFree, wireless updates and phone or tablet control, while a single NMEA 2000 port integrates B&G instruments, sensors, AIS and a compatible autopilot.
