Description
The Garmin GMR 2526 xHD2 is the flagship of the xHD2 open-array range, pairing a 25 kW magnetron pedestal with a 6 ft (1.8 m) open-array antenna. Maximum transmit power and a very narrow 1.1 degree horizontal beamwidth deliver exceptional long-range detection and target discrimination out to a 72 nautical mile maximum range, with selectable 24 and 48 rpm rotation.
Dual range presents close and distant views side by side, and dual-radar support lets each display draw from one of two radar sources for redundancy. The 25 kW pedestal is supplied with a voltage converter for installation, connects to compatible Garmin chartplotters over the Garmin Marine Network, and ships with a 15 m power cable and 15 m network cable. MARPA target tracking aids collision avoidance, and the housing carries an IPX6 water rating.
