Description
The rugged Garmin GPSMAP 78s is a handheld marine navigator supplied here with a preloaded UK and Ireland BlueChart g2 chart (HXEU706L). It builds on the GPSMAP 78 with a tilt-compensated 3-axis compass and a barometric altimeter, together with crisp colour mapping, a high-sensitivity GPS receiver, moulded rubber side grips and a microSD card slot for loading additional charts.
A built-in worldwide basemap lets you find your way anywhere, and like the rest of the 78 series the unit is IPX7 waterproof and even floats in water. Further BlueChart g2 and compatible cartography can be added on microSD to extend coverage.
