The docking station has a built-in USB Type-A socket so it can securely hold some of the smallest and largest smartphones/media players¹ on the market. Simply plug the USB Type-A to Apple 30-pin adapter cable into the built-in Type-A socket to connect your desired device.
¹Only media players/smartphones with ports on the bottom, not on the sides, fit in the docking station. Devices larger than 144 × 71 × 13 mm (5 9/16 × 2 ¾ × ½ in.) do not fit in the docking station.
