Description
The Glomex RA207 is the largest of the Glomex rectangular grounding plates at 455 x 150 x 13 mm, providing the electrical earth between a vessel's antennas or electronics and the water. It is made of golden sintered bronze, built up from millions of microspheres that create an effective surface around ten times larger than the physical plate, giving an equivalent earthing area of 5.75 sq m (61.9 sq ft).
The plate is fixed through the hull with corrosion-resistant bronze bolts, nuts and rubber spacers. Its very large surface makes it the plate of choice for high-power SSB transceivers and antenna tuners that demand the lowest possible ground impedance.
