Description
The Icom IC-F5022M Battery Backup version is the backed-up edition of Icom's IC-F5022M marine base station, ideal for any maritime organisation that depends on continual marine VHF radio communications. It gives organisations added reassurance by automatically switching from mains to battery power in the event of a power failure or outage, then recharging the batteries and switching back to AC operation when the mains supply is restored.
The batteries can provide up to 14 hours of backup for the mains base station. Practical and easy to use, this version suits marinas, ports and yacht clubs that need reliable communications with vessels from the shore, and the battery-powered unit is also well suited to temporary base station use or disaster and emergency situations where mains power may not be available.
