Icom IC-M510E with AIS Receiver
Description
The Icom IC-M510E with AIS Receiver (IC-M510 EVO AIS) builds on Icom's award-winning fixed-mount VHF/DSC marine radio by adding a built-in AIS receiver for superior situational awareness. Real-time vessel traffic is displayed directly on the wide-viewing-angle colour TFT screen, and you can make an individual DSC call to a selected AIS target straight from the AIS screen, even when the other vessel is too far away to see by name.
Alongside the integrated AIS, the radio offers full smartphone control and intercom through the RS-M500 app for iOS and Android, using built-in WLAN so up to three smart devices can act as a wireless microphone or remote controller. Built-in NMEA 2000 shares GNSS position, AIS, DSC and channel data across the network, while built-in Class D DSC with a dedicated distress button keeps continuous watch on Channel 70. A loud 25 W two-way hailer and 20 W RX hailer, Active Noise Cancelling, an integrated GNSS receiver, simplified navigation and rugged IP68 waterproofing make this the most safety-focused model in the IC-M510E series.
