The Lowrance Hook2-4x was a 4-inch dedicated fishfinder supplied with a Bullet Skimmer transducer. With Autotuning sonar and a wide-angle CHIRP cone, it gave double the sonar coverage of standard fishfinders with no manual tuning. This model has been discontinued.
Description
The Lowrance Hook2-4x was an entry-level, fishfinder-only unit built around a 4-inch SolarMAX display and a simple keypad. Supplied with a Bullet Skimmer transducer, it used Autotuning sonar to adjust settings automatically and a wide-angle CHIRP cone for roughly double the coverage of conventional fishfinders, making it easy for newcomers to find fish.
As a non-GPS unit it focused on clear sonar returns rather than charting. The Hook2-4x has since been discontinued and is succeeded within the current Lowrance range by the Hook Reveal-5, which adds GPS plotting, DownScan imaging and a larger display.
