Description

The Mastervolt AC Master 12/3500 is the most powerful AC Master 12 V inverter, converting 12 V battery power into reliable 230 V grid-quality electricity with a continuous output of 3500 W. Built for recreational and semi-professional use, it delivers full output under demanding conditions and is rugged, easy to install and ideal wherever substantial off-grid mains power is required.

Pure sine wave technology ensures excellent power quality for sensitive equipment, while high-frequency switching keeps operation free of humming and buzzing. As one of the larger AC Master models it provides both hard-wired and plug connections plus an integrated transfer system that switches automatically between the inverter and shore or generator power. A temperature and load controlled fan and an automatic power saving system keep it efficient and quiet.

For larger installations, up to 15 units can be combined in parallel, or three units can form a three-phase system. The inverter is MasterBus compatible using a MasterBus AC Master Interface and can be switched off remotely with the optional AC Master Remote Control.

How much power does the AC Master 12/3500 deliver?
It delivers 3500 W of continuous power at a selectable 230/240 V output (50/60 Hz), with short peaks up to 6000 W, making it the most powerful inverter in the AC Master 12 V range.
How is it connected?
It offers both a hard-wired connection and a UK 3-pin plug socket, and includes an integrated automatic transfer system that switches from inverter to grid in 8 to 10 ms and from grid to inverter in 16 to 50 ms.
Can multiple units be combined?
Yes. Up to 15 units can be connected in parallel for higher power, and three units can be configured for a three-phase system. The integrated transfer system is not used in parallel or three-phase operation.
What battery and cabling does it require?
It runs from a 12 V battery bank with a recommended capacity of at least 360 Ah, and Mastervolt specifies a 400 A slow-blow DC fuse with a minimum cable size of 120 mm².
Can it be monitored and controlled remotely?
Yes. It is MasterBus compatible using a MasterBus AC Master Interface, and an optional AC Master Remote Control allows the inverter and connected equipment to be switched off instantly.
