Description
The SCM20 PWM is a straightforward, dependable solar charge regulator that uses Pulse Width Modulation to charge your batteries from solar energy. It suits both 36-cell panels in 12V systems and 72-cell panels in 24V systems, automatically detecting the battery voltage, and is rated for a 20A charge current.
Built for marine and mobile environments, the SCM20 PWM is protected against water spray, copes with high ambient temperatures and is compatible with common negative grounding. It works with all types of lead-acid battery (AGM, Gel and flooded) at either 12V or 24V.
A large backlit display keeps the solar yield, battery voltage and charge status clearly in view, and a switchable output with an evening and night lighting function lets it control a load such as cabin or deck lighting. An optional battery temperature sensor is available for improved charging accuracy.
