Description
The Mastervolt GMDSS front panel for Mass 24/50-2 is a digital Volt and Ampere meter that integrates into the front of the Mass 24/50-2 battery charger. It gives professional users a front display with GMDSS alarm functions, monitoring the status of the battery and battery charger on a 12 or 24 V DC system. Battery voltage and current are shown on the panel, with status LEDs and potential-free alarm contacts for DC voltage, charger and AC mains alarms.
GMDSS stands for Global Maritime Distress and Safety System, an internationally agreed set of safety procedures, equipment and communication protocols required under the SOLAS (Safety Of Life At Sea) convention, using DSC and satellite communication. The panel is supplied with an interface, a 500 A / 50 mV shunt and a user manual, and the system automatically detects whether it is fitted to a 12 V or 24 V installation.
