Description

The Autopilot Sterndrive Universal I/O Drive Unit is an electro-mechanical autopilot steering actuator for inboard/outboard (I/O) vessels with power-assisted steering. It works with many popular MerCruiser and Volvo Penta stern drive boats, operating the power steering valve in the same way as the boat's steering cable so the autopilot can steer the boat.

When you disengage the autopilot, a clutch releases the I/O drive so you can steer the boat manually. The drive is compatible with 12-volt power systems and works with the Evolution ACU-200 actuator control unit. This universal version suits a wide range of compatible I/O steering systems. Optional bracket kits may be required, so Raymarine recommends consulting a dealer or technical support before fitting.
