Description
The Raymarine MCU-250 Master Control Unit is the flagship controller in the EmpirBus-based digital switching range, combining an integrated GSM module with a twin CAN-bus link. The two CAN-bus connections allow larger and more complex switching networks to be built and interconnected, while GSM connectivity provides remote monitoring, status checks and alerting from ashore. As the system master it runs the configured switching logic and links control modules, switch panels and monitoring devices that manage a vessel's DC electrical loads. Digital switching replaces conventional fuse boxes and relay panels with a programmable, software-defined system. The system is configured using the dedicated MCU Programming Interface.
