Description
The Raymarine E55059 is a NMEA 0183 multiplexer that combines up to four NMEA 0183 inputs into a single consolidated NMEA 0183 output. It is used where several NMEA 0183 devices, such as a fast heading sensor and a DSC VHF with position output, need to be fed into the single NMEA 0183 input of a chartplotter or display.
By merging the device outputs into one data stream, the multiplexer lets a multifunction display or instrument receive data from multiple 0183 sources at once. It is powered from a 12 or 24 V DC supply.
