Description
This high-capacity pack brings together everything needed to fit a Simrad AP44 autopilot to a larger hydraulic-steered boat. It pairs the AP44 colour controller with the NAC-3 autopilot computer, a Precision-9 heading sensor and an RPU-160 reversible hydraulic pump, making a complete system for vessels of 10 metres (35 ft) and above.
The NAC-3 computer is rated for high-current drives, operating pumps up to 30 A continuous and 50 A peak, and supports Simrad Virtual Rudder Feedback so a separate rudder feedback unit is not always required. Where a physical sensor is preferred, the system accepts the RF25 or variable-frequency RF300. Continuum steering technology delivers automated turn patterns, No Drift steering that holds course against wind and tide, and full integration with compatible Simrad displays over NMEA 2000.
