Simrad Broadband 3G Radar Kit
Description
The Simrad Broadband 3G Radar uses solid-state FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) technology to deliver outstanding short-range performance, seeing targets within a few metres of the boat where conventional pulse radars cannot. With no magnetron to replace, it provides InstantOn power-up, a standby drain a fraction of conventional radars and emissions around one fifth of a mobile phone, so it can be mounted safely close to passengers.
The kit comprises the 20-inch 3G radar dome, a 20 m (66 ft) interconnection cable, an RI10 SimNet interface box and a 1.8 m (6 ft) yellow Ethernet cable. It is compatible with Simrad NSO, NSE and NSS displays, B&G Zeus and Lowrance HDS. This product is discontinued and was replaced by the HALO20 pulse compression radar.
