Description
The Simrad M5016 is a 15.6-inch widescreen marine monitor built for commercial and professional bridge installations. Its 1366 x 768 anti-reflective, anti-fingerprint display delivers a clear picture in the pilothouse, while a low-profile 8 mm flush-mount profile lets the unit sit neatly in the dash or console. HDMI, DVI and dual composite inputs support a wide range of radar, chartplotter and camera sources, with picture-in-picture and on-glass touch controls for setup.
The M5016 complies with IEC 60945, IEC 62288 and IEC 62388 and can be used as part of a type-approved radar system, making it suitable for IMO/SOLAS Cat 3 vessels. Power and setup keys use capacitive touch, and the monitor offers thermal, overvoltage, reverse-polarity and low-voltage protection. NMEA 2000 connectivity supports control and firmware updates across the network.
