Simrad Halo Radar Pedestal
Description
This is the solid-state pedestal for the Simrad Halo open array radar, the 25 W drive unit that carries the open array antenna. Supplied without an antenna, it accepts the 3, 4 or 6 ft Halo array so a system can be built or repaired to suit the vessel. With no magnetron the pedestal is ready to transmit in 16 to 25 seconds from power-on, and antenna rotation is software-controlled at approximately 24 to 48 rpm. It is used together with the RI-12 interface module and weighs 18.75 kg.
