Description
This is the solid-state pedestal for the Simrad Halo open array radar, the drive unit that carries the open array antenna. Supplied as a pedestal only, it forms the heart of the Halo open array system when paired with an antenna and the RI-12 interface module. With no magnetron it is ready to transmit in 16 to 25 seconds from power-on, and antenna rotation is software-controlled. It weighs 18.75 kg.
