Description
The Victron Energy 12V 165Ah AGM Deep Cycle is a sealed, maintenance-free VRLA battery built on flat plate Absorbent Glass Mat construction. The electrolyte is absorbed into a glass-fibre mat between the plates, making the battery spill-proof and suitable for mounting in any orientation. Low internal resistance gives strong high-current performance for marine loads such as inverters, bow thrusters and electric winches.
The 165Ah rating is quoted at the 20 hour rate, with 150Ah available at the faster 10 hour rate. Lead-calcium grids and high-purity materials hold self-discharge below 2% per month, so the battery tolerates long periods between charges. Service life is maximised by keeping discharges shallow and recharging promptly with a suitable three or four step charger.
With flat copper terminals, 600A cold cranking and 220 minutes reserve capacity, this battery is a dependable mid-to-large house bank option for cruising yachts and motor vessels.
