Description
The Victron 12V/38Ah AGM Deep Cycle battery is a sealed valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) battery using absorbent glass mat technology, with the electrolyte held in a glass-fibre mat between the plates. It is maintenance free and can be mounted in most orientations without risk of spillage.
The low internal resistance typical of AGM makes the battery suitable for high-current applications such as engine starting, while still serving as a deep-cycle house battery. At 38Ah it suits modest auxiliary banks and equipment that draws occasional heavy current.
High-purity materials and lead-calcium grids keep self-discharge below 2% per month at 20°C, so the battery tolerates long storage between charges when kept cool. Repeated deep discharge shortens service life, so keeping discharges shallow where possible is recommended.
