Description

The Victron 12V/90Ah AGM Deep Cycle battery is a sealed valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) battery using absorbent glass mat technology, with the electrolyte absorbed into a glass-fibre mat between the plates. It is maintenance free and tolerant of varied mounting positions.

The low internal resistance of AGM gives this battery excellent high-current capability, making it suitable for inverters, thrusters, winches, and engine starting as well as deep-cycle house service. It offers 400 A cold cranking and 130 minutes reserve capacity.

High-purity materials and lead-calcium grids keep self-discharge below 2% per month at 20°C, so the battery can be stored for long periods between charges when kept cool. As with any lead-acid battery, avoiding repeated deep discharge prolongs its working life. This version is supplied with copper terminals.

What loads is this 90Ah battery suited to?
Its very low internal resistance suits high-current loads such as inverters, thrusters and winches, as well as engine starting and deep-cycle house service. It offers 400 A cold cranking and 130 minutes reserve capacity.
What terminals does this version use?
This version (BAT412800084) is supplied with copper terminals. A separate variant, BAT412800085, is the same 90Ah battery fitted with M6 threaded insert terminals.
Does this battery need maintenance?
No. It is a sealed VRLA AGM battery and is maintenance free for life.
What charge voltages does Victron recommend?
For cyclic use, an absorption voltage of 14.2 to 14.6 V, a float voltage of 13.5 to 13.8 V and a storage voltage of 13.2 to 13.5 V for a 12V AGM Deep Cycle battery.
