Description
The Victron Energy 6V 240Ah AGM Deep Cycle is a sealed, maintenance-free VRLA battery built on flat plate Absorbent Glass Mat construction. As a 6 volt unit it is most often used in series, with two batteries combined to form a 12V bank or four to form a 24V bank, an arrangement that suits larger house banks where individual battery weight needs to be kept manageable. The electrolyte is absorbed into a glass-fibre mat between the plates, so the battery is spill-proof and can be mounted in any orientation.
Rated at 240Ah on the 20 hour discharge, with low internal resistance, it delivers strong high-current performance for marine loads such as inverters and thrusters. Lead-calcium grids and high-purity active materials keep self-discharge below 2% per month, allowing extended storage between charges. As with any lead-acid battery, life is longest when discharges are kept shallow and the battery is recharged promptly.
It is supplied with flat copper terminals and provides 700A cold cranking and 270 minutes reserve capacity per battery.
