Description
The Victron Lithium NG 12.8V 150Ah is a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery for marine house banks and other demanding 12V systems. LiFePO4 chemistry delivers a high usable depth of discharge, a long cycle life and roughly half the weight of an equivalent lead-acid bank, so you can carry more usable energy in less space.
Each NG battery has an integrated shunt and high-speed CAN-bus communication, transmitting cell voltages, temperatures and battery current so the system can calculate state of charge and raise specific warnings and alarms. The cell balancing and monitoring cables daisy-chain to a Lynx Smart BMS NG (500A or 1000A), which is mandatory and must be purchased separately; the BMS manages all charge and discharge parameters automatically and keeps the battery firmware up to date.
Battery data is read out through VictronConnect, a GX communication centre or the VRM Portal. With an IP65 rating and supplied mounting brackets, the battery is sealed against dust and low-pressure water jets and can be secured against slipping and tipping on board.
