Description
The Victron Lithium SuperPack 12.8V 200Ah is the largest single battery in the standard SuperPack range, a LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) unit with an integrated battery management system and a built-in safety switch. Because the BMS and switch are inside the case, it installs without an external BMS or contactor, and the internal switch disconnects automatically on over-discharge, overcharge, or out-of-range temperature.
At 2560 Wh it provides substantial usable energy for a 12 V house bank, supporting larger inverter, refrigeration, and domestic loads aboard a boat. Lithium chemistry tolerates partial states of charge without the sulfation that degrades lead-acid, and round-trip efficiency of around 92 per cent makes it well suited to solar and limited-charging installations. The pack weighs 21 kg, around a third of an equivalent lead-acid bank.
Batteries can be wired in parallel without limit for a larger bank; series connection is not permitted. The pack is rated IP43. Note the mounting restriction for this model: it must not be laid on its long side with the positive terminal at the bottom.
