Description
The Victron Lithium SuperPack 12.8V 20Ah is a compact LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) battery with an integrated battery management system and a built-in safety switch, so no external BMS or contactor is needed to install it. The internal switch disconnects the battery automatically in the event of over-discharge, overcharge, or temperature outside the safe window, which makes it a straightforward drop-in upgrade from lead-acid.
Lithium chemistry tolerates partial states of charge without the sulfation that shortens lead-acid life, and round-trip efficiency of around 92 per cent keeps more of every charge available for use. At 3 kg this small pack suits compact house-power tasks aboard a boat, such as electronics, lighting, instruments, and other low-current auxiliary loads.
Batteries can be wired in parallel without limit to build a larger bank; series connection is not permitted. The pack carries an IP43 rating and must be mounted in an allowed orientation.
