Description

The Victron Lithium SuperPack 25.6V 50Ah is the 24 V member of the standard SuperPack range, a LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) battery with an integrated battery management system and a built-in safety switch. The internal BMS and switch mean no external battery management is needed: the switch disconnects the battery automatically on over-discharge, overcharge, or out-of-range temperature, simplifying a move from lead-acid on a 24 V system.

At a nominal 25.6 V and 50 Ah it stores 1280 Wh, suiting 24 V house banks for windlasses, thrusters, larger inverters, and domestic loads on bigger vessels. Lithium chemistry can rest at a partial state of charge without sulfation, and round-trip efficiency of around 92 per cent improves usable yield from solar or limited engine charging. The pack weighs 14 kg.

Batteries can be wired in parallel without limit to build a larger 24 V bank; series connection is not permitted. The pack is rated IP43 and must be installed in an allowed orientation.

Is this a 24V battery?
Yes. It has a nominal voltage of 25.6 V, which is the lithium equivalent of a 24 V lead-acid battery, and an end-of-discharge voltage of 20 V.
Does the SuperPack need an external BMS?
No. The SuperPack has an integrated battery management system and a built-in safety switch that disconnects the battery automatically in case of over-discharge, overcharge, or low or high temperature, so no additional components are required.
Can these batteries be connected in parallel or in series?
They can be connected in parallel without limit to increase capacity. Series connection is not allowed.
What charge voltage does the 24V model use?
The absorption charge voltage is 28.4 V to 28.8 V and the float voltage is 27 V. The maximum continuous charge current is 50 A.
Does the standard SuperPack have Bluetooth?
No. The standard 12.8V and 25.6V SuperPack range does not include Bluetooth monitoring; that feature is found on the SuperPack NG range.
