Description
The Garmin Yamaha Autopilot Gateway is the gateway that allows a Garmin steer-by-wire autopilot to control the boat steering on Yamaha Helm Master equipped vessels. It connects to the boat steering system on one side and to the Garmin autopilot data bus on the other using the included T-connectors, passing steering commands so the autopilot can hold a heading and follow routes. The gateway is powered from an included cable connected to a 9 to 24 Vdc supply, which must be present for the autopilot to communicate with the gateway. It is installed as a component of a Garmin autopilot system rather than used on its own. Note that this is the Yamaha gateway (part 010-11349-01) and is a different product from the Volvo gateway (part 010-11349-00).
