Description
The WGX-1 is Actisense's ultimate gateway, combining NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 conversion, PC interfacing and Wi-Fi streaming in a single intelligent device where other manufacturers need several. It streams data from an NMEA 2000 backbone to any Wi-Fi device such as a laptop, tablet or smartphone, and converts bi-directionally between NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 using Actisense's renowned conversion engine.
Acting as a wired gateway as well, the WGX-1 transfers and converts data between existing NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 instruments and interfaces a PC to the network. Its opto-isolated input and ISO-Drive output safely handle NMEA 0183, RS232 or RS422 signals over a 0.75m ISO cable, with data transfer up to 230,400 baud and support for fast heading at 10Hz. Data can be logged to a user-fitted micro SD card for post-voyage analysis.
Fully NMEA 2000 certified and built into an extremely rugged IP67 case with an internal antenna, the WGX-1 includes the Actisense-i network health checker, enhanced password security and remote firmware upgradability, and is configured through Actisense Toolkit.
