Shipping policy
We ship marine electronics and equipment across the UK and worldwide. This page explains what delivery costs, how long it takes and how we handle larger items.
UK delivery
We charge a flat £6.95 for standard delivery to UK addresses. Delivery to the Scottish Highlands and Islands, and other UK offshore areas, is £14.95.
Collect in person
You can collect your order from us at Mercury Yacht Harbour, Hamble, Southampton at no charge. Choose 'Collect in person' at checkout and wait for our email confirming your order is ready before travelling. Please bring your order confirmation and photo ID. Collection is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm.
Dispatch and delivery times
Most in-stock orders are dispatched within 1 to 2 working days. Orders placed before 1pm on a working day are usually processed the same day.
Some products are ordered in for you from the manufacturer and are not held in stock. These typically take 5 to 10 working days before dispatch. Where an item will take longer, we will tell you. Estimated availability is shown on the product page.
Once dispatched, typical UK delivery is 1 to 3 working days by our standard courier. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed and do not include the dispatch time above.
We dispatch on working days only (Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays).
Large, heavy and high-value items
Some of what we sell is bulky, heavy or high in value (for example radar scanners, autopilot drives and battery banks). Because of their size or weight, these items may carry a higher delivery charge, which is shown at checkout or confirmed with you before we process the order. They may ship on a pallet or by a dedicated courier rather than a standard parcel service, and delivery can take a little longer. For high-value orders we may use a signed-for or insured service, and if your item needs special handling we will be in touch to arrange a convenient delivery.
International delivery
We ship worldwide, with no countries excluded. International shipping is calculated at checkout based on the destination, weight and size of your order, so you see the cost before you pay.
Delivery times outside the UK vary by destination and customs clearance and are typically 5 to 15 working days.
Duties and taxes: we do not charge UK VAT on orders shipped to destinations outside the UK. However, your order may be subject to import duty, local sales tax and customs or handling fees charged by the destination country. These are payable by the recipient and are not included in the product price or the shipping charge at checkout. Please check your country's rules before ordering; we cannot mark orders as gifts or under-declare their value.
Tracking
We will email you tracking details when your order is dispatched.
Damaged, incorrect or missing items
Please check your order on arrival. If anything arrives damaged, is incorrect, or is missing, contact us at info@hudsonmarine.co.uk with your order number as soon as you can, and within 24 hours of delivery for transit damage, and we will put it right. Keep the packaging until the matter is resolved. Your legal rights are set out in our Returns & Refunds policy.
Delays outside our control
We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, customs, weather or other events beyond our control, but we will always help you chase a delayed delivery.
Wrong or incomplete address
Please make sure your delivery address is correct at checkout. If a parcel is returned to us, or a redelivery is needed, because the address was wrong or incomplete, we may pass on the extra carriage cost.
