Actisense NMEA 2000 Smart Universal Micro Terminator

The Actisense A2K-TER-U is the world's first intelligent universal in-line terminator for NMEA 2000 networks. Because it ships with blanking caps it can be used as a male terminator, a female terminator or a feed-through in-line terminator, which makes it genuinely universal and ideal for awkward positions such as the top of a mast where the required gender may not be known in advance. It can be fitted at the very end of the backbone or in-line in a location that is difficult to reach.

What sets the TER-U apart is its built-in diagnostic function. A high-accuracy voltage monitoring circuit continuously watches the bus voltage and drives internal LEDs: a green indication confirms the voltage is within the required range and of the correct polarity, while a red indication warns that the voltage has fallen below the minimum required level. If the LEDs do not light at all, there is no power or the polarity is reversed. Because the terminators illuminate, they also confirm at a glance that a terminator is actually present at each end of the network. It houses a 120 ohm resistor, uses gold-plated contacts in glass-filled carriers, carries a UL94 V0 flammability rating and is rated to IP67 when mated. Like the rest of the Actisense range it is NMEA 2000 certified and covered by the standard 5 year guarantee.
